Splitting Help Needed

Hey Guys,

I'm shocked at how expensive Liverpool S Parkway (LPY) to Sheffield (SHF) is!
I have a young person's railcard, so the fare is £18.90!

Can anyone work their splitting magic to decrease it?

I looked at this recently for a football match - if it's a day return you are after, try Warrington.

If it's not, then I don't know! I think that there was something unusual possible, but can't remember what it might be.

If returning the same day:
Cheap day return Liverpool South Parkway-Glazebrook £4.90
Cheap day return Glazebrook-Stockport £2.10
Cheap day return Stockport-Sheffield £9.40
Total £16.40

Alternatively, you could look at advance singles from Warrington or Manchester to Sheffield.

Yes, just splitting at Warrington is even cheaper on day returns.
