On 9th Jan I have to travel to Darlington and be in Darlington for 9.30am.

Now usually that wouldn't be a problem as I could get an advance but I am travelling back on the same day and that is where the problem is......I don't know what time.

I'm at the family courts, and anyone that has had to go through that situation knows that you could be in and out in 5 minutes or still be sat there at 4pm.

I could in theory buy an advance for a return at 4pm but If I am out of court say at 11am, Darlington doesn't have many sights to look at.

I've tried 2 sites about split tickets but they are giving me prices for off peak tickets.

Can anyone on here help?

I've no railcards and would like a rather smooth journey.
