I hope some of you have benefitted from the service offered by this website over the past few months. It determined the cheapest combnation of split tickets which would legitimately get a passenger from A to B (without actually having to get off and on differrent trains). I became aware of difficulties with the service when there was a sudden flurry of legal notices of changes being posted to Companies House last month.
Now, we can all see what has happened :-

and you get a holding page which says :
SplitFare is down for maintenance.
This is due to the rail industry wanting to rip off rail users
I don't know who might have sent a legal letter to whom, but I'd be very VERY interested in examining it to determine the grounds for disabling that web site. (Anyone want to PM me about this?)
