Hi. Currently travelling Weymouth-Stoke on Trent on split tickets (Weymouth-Bristol-Cheltenham-Birmingham-Stoke) Weymouth-Bristol train currently late, and loosing more time, throwing Bristol connection into doubt.

First ticket an off-peak, all the others advances. Will XC honour the advances on the 15:00 from Bristol, if the 14:00 is missed due to late arrival? Even though all separate tickets?

Providing that you left the minimum connection time (10 minutes) at Bristol between your arriving train and your departing train, then yes.

There is 20 mins in the schedule. Currently 13 late. There's 5 of us with luggage though! Will the XC Train Manager know to accept them as split tickets?

If you haven't managed to catch the 1400, on the 1500 present all tickets (including the off-peak ticket) and if questioned, explain that your train into Bristol was late, the TM should accept it.

The Conditions of Travel makes it very clear you may use two or more tickets for one journey.

...You may use a combination of two or more Tickets to make a journey ...
Your itinerary does have to be valid as a through itinerary, but that's regardless of the number of tickets held.

There is no loss of rights whatsoever by using two or more tickets for one journey; sometimes the rail industry imposes such a limitation, sometimes they recommend it, sometimes your plans change, and sometimes you may find it suits your needs. The reason doesn't matter. It's perfectly valid and accepted.
