Probably been mentioned before but faresavers.org has a split ticketing function page. Found it really helpful.

No site at that URL.

The closest I could find was faresaver.org but this does not have a 'split ticketing function page', it has a list, which is of very limited usefulness, of selected "splits" between a few stations.

Yes faresaver no s, I actually though the suggestions may be useful, but it is limited to simply saying where to try the split, as you say.

Seems to be a long advert for the trainline - the end of every section seems to push you onto them.

Sure it's not officially connected with them though as ATOC aren't so keen on the promotion of split tickets by resellers.

The site is using URL shorteners to get to TheTrainline (TTL). Do TTL offer "affiliate" type accounts that offer a revenue share on tickets sold? If so, that's probably what's going on here.

I'm sure everyone here is aware that buying any ticket from TheTrainline is MORE expensive than buying it from almost anywhere else - all the tickets and prices they have are available everywhere else and they slap massive charges on top.

So with TheTrainline, you always pay more than you should.

Yes, its affiliate links. TTL are probably unaware they are indirectly paying for this site.

It is done by the same person who does http://www.railrover.org/ - it seemed to appear there first anyway.

incidentally it also shares a server with; http://216.130.166.66/ - a site about great railway journeys apparently and http://www.railwayphotos.net/ as well a couple of heterosexual porn sites - the joys of shared hosting I guess.
