Hi all I'm due to head from Newcastle to Manchester Vic today. I've bought a split ticket for the journey as follows.....

12.43 Newc to York(TPE)
14.09 York to Leeds(NOR)
15.12 Leeds to Manchester Vic(NOR)

My guidance on the email says to change at Leeds. Yet my ticket is Newc to York and York to Manchester Vic and the 14.09 is a Manchester Vic train

So would I have to change at Leeds or am I risking a fine staying on the whole way.

I have a 25min wait at Leeds and can't see how I could exit the barriers for fresh air between trains due to only having a single ticket.

Any advice please?

Thankyou

What are the actual tickets you've been sold? (If bought on a site like Trainsplit it should show the tickets used under a heading called 'Split tickets for your journey' or similar).

The 14:09 from York is normally a stopping service to Leeds so I’m not sure what the question really is? You have to change at Leeds as it terminates at Leeds.

@Kris28. Are any of your ticket(s) advance tickets accompanied by compulsory reservations on specified trains?

As @_toommm_ points out, if you are obliged to travel on the 1409 York->Leeds (Northern) service, you're going to have to change trains on arrival at Leeds anyway.

And if you are on advance tickets with compulsory train specific reservations, noted that the onward 1512 Northern service from Leeds to Manchester Victoria is on the "slow" train which is routed via Halifax and Rochdale.

You should be able to access the station facilities at Leeds by presenting your ticket at the barriers, if time permits.

As noted the 14.09 is not a York-Vic train (no such Northern service exists). However, the 12.43 Newcastle to York does continue onto Man Vic so I presume your question is can you remain on that train all the way through to Manchester? It depends on what tickets you hold.
