On Thursday 21st December I travelled from Southampton Central to Crewe on the 14:11 GWR to Newport arriving 16:36 (scheduled 16:30) and then the TfW 16:35 (departed 16:45) and arrived in Crewe 30 minutes late.
I had three advanced tickets Southampton to Warminster, Warminster to Newport and Newport to Crewe booked through trainsplit with one pdf that I attached.
Initially TfW forced me to put in one ticket number as they wouldn't accept multiple that I could see on their portal.
They rejected it saying it was operated by GWR and would send the details over, so I appealed with more details and they have rejected it again with the same reasoning.
GWR said they couldn't find a journey matching my details.
Am I correct in that because I made the original connection despite GWRs delay to Newport, TfW should pay out?
(As an aside I had problems last summer with TfW travelling to Barmouth with a 15 minute delay after having reduced connection time in reading again due to GWR 4 min delay and the same thing happened with a claim being bounced between the two multiple times so much that I gave up on the £9 due from a single ticket)
