Had a message to say this does not go around by Manchester Victoria now, but drops off / picks up at Piccadilly instead and will go via Stockport and Altrincham to Chester instead of Warrington and Helsby.

As the 2x 37s working from Weston-Super-Mare will be at the buffers of Piccadilly, haulage forward to Holyhead on the outbound will be by a 47/57.

On the return to Manchester, the route is via Helsby and Warrington so the 37s will be at the business end the whole way back to Weston.

Yeah, was only going to do it one way, boat to Holyhead in morning, then tour to Weston.

However, jiffyman raises a very valid point, if the standard coaches are (hopefully) behind the 37s the whole way then there's a bonus that cannot be missed.

Also, Stockport-Chester via Altrincham is required and wouldn't mind doing it loco hauled.

We've had validated timings through today, following efforts by many to get the job back on track, thanks to those who made the effort.

On the outward journey we're now routing via Manchester Pic with a reversal.

Apologies to all affected by this late notice alteration caused by a major points failure at Heaton Norris.

Didn't realise they were out again this weekend Bob, so that will be what? 8 engines down the coast,

* 2x 67s UK railtours
* 2x 57/3s ATW
* 1x 57/3 Virgin
* 1x 47 / 57 outbound Spitfire
* 2x 37s return Spitfire

Do you know what time the Footex is leaving Holyhead / gets back at? A few photters who aren't doing the tour on Saturday are going over to phot the various charters, and two are doing the 37s from Holyhead-Manchester and the night boat back, so it will be a bonus for them if they can tie in with the return footex.

Ah don't worry Bob I actually am into more rateable traction than 57s mate, I remember the days of 37s on the Coast well. So it will be a bit of a nostalic trip doing them to Holyhead this weekend!

That said, if 57311 works the Virgin turn on Saturday, I have a back up plan that will involve getting that too!

EDIT: Seen your thread re the Foot-ex Bob, ta.

Should be an interesting day for photographers on the Line Side, Any-one know if the Holy Oaks is due to pass any of these?

although not really fussed on the Footex

You'll see the 67s at Holyhead in the carriage sidings adjacent to platform 1, which is where I assume we'll be arriving into.

I know last Saturday as they were paired up and due to the lenght of the trains the locos were somewhat parked under the road bridge, ruining any decent shot from the station itself.

You'll pass the 57 + 390 in the Valley area, it's due off Holyhead 14:38, we're in at 14:50.

57601 quoted as being the loco to take the train to Holyhead. Looks like a possible part fare on the way back for me then.

Saw it at Alderley Edge and Mobberley this morning - the two 37s leading at Alderley, 57601 leading at Mobberley. Spot on time at Alderley, a few minutes down at Mobberley.

A good day. Great to see 37s back at Holyhead again.

676 shut down near Helbsy, once restarted at Victoria she was grand for the rest of the trip.

Arrived back Temple Meads about an hour late after a track problem at Norton Junction. Thought they would have caped at Temple Meads but it ran through to Weston.

Was a great day indeed, was 601 pushing as cover for 676? heard someone say that and fine day with great thrash, laughs, sights and track, up until Worcester...Once again my thanks goes to Spitfire for helping us get home,again. :D
