I just thought I would say congratulations to Tai Woffinden who last week won the British Riders Championship, and this weekend won the Czech Grand Prix, and is currently 2nd in the World Riders Championship, only one point behind the leader.

Despite this achievement the sport gets very little publicity.
As a long time football fan, (and a very peeved Spurs fan at the moment) I have only got into Speedway over the past few years, but have come to love it, and now having a British rider doing so well is great.

It is the British Grand Prix a week on Saturday (1st June) and live on Eurosport as are all the Grand Prix's, and league Speedway is live on Sky usually Mondays or Tuesdays.

I've been into Speedway since the 80s and was taken by my Grand Parents to motorsport on a regular basis as my Uncle did GrassTrack at the same time.

I spent many a night in my youth at the fourth corner of Brandon Lane (Coventry), it was really a family atmosphere and you could get up close to the riders. I haven't been for many a year now but follow on Sky Sports. Kelvin Tatum was riding for Coventry when I was young (as did his brother Neville for a bit if memory serves).

Perhaps not too many Speedway fans on here, but I enjoy it.

As a kid I used to go to Romford Bombers - they had a solid wall to divide the track from the crowd and supporters could lean on it if you were brave / stupid enough! A far cry from today's safety. Hackney Hawks on a friday night was a good evening out, Waterden Road now lost under the Olympic site.

The Polish league seems to be the strongest, and is the top sport in Poland. Anyone know which track is easiest to visit using public transport? - I'd like to give it a go.

Glad the GP's are on Eurosport after Sky ceased coverage of them this year, with Nigel Pearson and Kelvin Tatum from Sky doing the commentary.

Do you mean which is the easiest track to visit in Poland or which is the easiest where you live?

Sorry, I mean in Poland. I've been to Bydgoszcz and Torun but didn't see the stadiums, but then again I wasn't looking for them on those occasions.
