I may be missing something obvious, but since LNER stopped doing Amex cashback at 5% to 10%, there doesn't seem to be any way of getting a significant discount on 7-day inboundary Travelcards?

£1.50 Train Tickets Between Leeds, Settle and Carlisle. Travel is between 22nd May and 17th July. Tickets are available from 15th May.

I assume that these will be Advances, to prevent savvy Airedale commuters getting a cheap trip to Leeds?

Looks like there is going to be a sale for May half term (23/5 to 31/5) on SWR services with cheaper advances. Tickets on sale from tomorrow.

There's only 1 daily train from Carlisle that gets to Leeds before 1100.

I don't personally go in for anything that requires me to permit tracking cookies, though.
I don't think it requires tracking cookies, rather it's tracked by spending with the curve card (so much the same as amex). It is given as "curve cash" though which can only be spent by using the curve card for a transaction completely covered by the credit.

Either that or book to Waterloo. Basically it has to be the origin or destination.

They seem quite rare on the times and days I was trying. A few did come up though.
Please could someone post the link when they know of it to book tickets unless it will just be on the normal Northern Rail online ticketing site.

Hi, this is probably a daft question but can I just turn up at Nottingham station and buy a ticket for a later date then? I'm looking at travelling on bank holiday Monday (no departure time restrictions) but want to catch the 7.17 to Leeds. From what I can make out the ticket office won't open until 7.15 that day so buying tickets on the day wouldn't work. Any info you have would be helpful thanks

On the printed form it says "tickets can be purchased no more than three days in advance".

Thanks, so how does it work - buy a £100 gift card for £90, and then get a £20 credit once you buy the tickets? so £120 of travel for £90?
You would spend £90 to receive a £100 Uber gift card. If you then spent that on £100 worth of train tickets, during the Member Days promotions period, you would receive £20 in Uber Credits.

The £1.50 tickets are also available for Airedale commuters, just so long as you are catching an S&C service. That's saved me a couple of quid!
