I have this as well, however, how do you get Avanti to serve you the tickets you want to get?
I am trying to buy a EUS - LIV super offpeak return with split at STA but it keeps offering me only the Avanti versions which as expected are double the price and then some. The ticket itself is operator specific and only allows travel in WMR/LNWR services.
I'm not particularly fussed about travellng with Avanti but as always every little helps and if you can nab a few quid of cashback whilst purchasing a ticket I'm all for it. However if this a limitation of the Avanti website and you can't get it to do what you want then I'll just give up and buy through here. Perhaps I'm being granddad and can't work the bloody website, it has been known before.
I assume you mean change at Stafford not split at Stafford, as the latter is considerably more expensive.
I couldn't get Avanti to bring that up unfortunately.

In my experience, you will need to use one of the websites which still offer the (Webtis?) Mixing Desk option in order to select "slower" routes, or use something like the forum's booking site which allows more advance options to exclude particular operators. See also issues with trying to buy the London - Manchester LNR + TfW or LNR + Northern fares
Most other websites will offer the fastest routes, even if you do something like "Via Atherstone" to put you onto an LNR from London to Crewe, from memory there is an Avanti Liverpool service which comes between the LNR from Euston arriving and the next LNR Liverpool train.

It's worth being aware that the Trip.com app, within which your Railcard will live, is pretty awful.

Of course the London - Manchester LNR + TfW or LNR + Northern return fares are walk-up tickets which can be bought on the day from a ticket office (as I did at Piccadilly recently). The ticket was issued very quickly and efficiently.

Does anyone know which Avanti service I'm likely to get on a Superfare in the 5pm-9pm window Euston to Birmingham New Street? It would be for a Tuesday in mid-November. I'm curious to try it myself for the first time, but wondered if anyone had "real world" experience?
Greater Anglia are running an Autumn Sale with a 20% discount on their lowest tier of Advance tickets.
Key points:
Having had a look earlier, they're making the lowest tier of Advance exclusively available through their own site for this, with other retailers only showing availability for higher tiers.
For example:
Travelling on the 1158 from Liverpool Street to Cambridge on 12th November, GA are offering the promotional price of £6.40 without a Railcard. (Based on ticket type OS1.)
Other retailers are showing £17.50 for the same train (ticket type OS5.)
Key points:
- Only available to book through their website or mobile app.
- Book at least 7 days in advance.
- Book by 4th November.
- Travel between 28th October and 15th December.
- Stacks with Railcard discounts.

Just to note that Barclays/Barclaycard Rewards now seem to be back up. They may be worth watching, but I'm not being offered anythign railway realted just at the moment.

Looks like LNER have popped back up on my Halifax card reward, although rather than the usual 10% with no min spend, it's down to 2% back with a £30 min spend. So with the new website unable to support a basic shopping basket it's a bit rubbish

When it was 10% cashback, I’d buy £300 vouchers (the maximum spend to get cashback) and get £30 back. I’d spend them in a couple of months. Now at 2% it’s probably a better deal to use PayPal or Klarna to spread the cost over 3 months instead.

I only just added it today so I’m not sure. Sometimes I don’t get offers others get.
