You have to:

Northern Rail £10 offer
The Sheffield Star are printing tokens until 7th September 2013.
The South Yorkshire Times which comes out weekly has a token on Page 50 and another token being printed in next weeks issue.

Using their website (that didn't work for me in Firefox but did in Chrome), you have to add the upgrade to your 'Passport' then click the yellow 'Email me my Passport' button. Your voucher comes as an email. Note that it is directly in the body of the email, not as an attachment.

I've printed the email to PDF to show you how it looks. I agree it's hardly the most professional rail document around! The boilerplate waffle that is printed on all vouchers through this website says you don't need the voucher anyway, you just show the voucher on your phone when you pay... Does this mean you need to exchange the voucher for a first class excess or supplement at a ticket office before boarding? It's not very clear.

Obviously you'd need to get your own voucher if you wanted to take advantage of the offer rather than using mine

On FCC you would have to upgrade at the ticket office before you board. FCC have no on train guards, just RPO's

London Midland Great Escape seems to be on again from 19 October to 3 November. Prices held (£15 for adults, £9.90 Railcards), but no time restrictions across much of the Midlands, including Shrewsbury, Worcester and Hereford. I reported in post #1161 that the last day for tokens in the Yorkshire Post was 3 September. I have not seen any report of tokens in the Yorkshire Evening Post yet.

As an added bonus, after the £10 freebie, book again and if you spend over £20, you’ll get another £5 added automatically to your account (within two weeks), to use till Tue 31 Dec.
