Yep. Organised at short notice, hence no outbound extra. Northern seem pretty good at doing this- they ran extras for Sheffield Wednesday fans to Huddersfield in previous years, running via Wakefield Kirkgate. Think this is the first they've organised for little old Huddersfield Town though! On the Penistone line they can't just stick another 144 on the regular service due to platform lengths, and fitting an extra service in is only marginally easier due to the long single line sections. Well played, Arriva Rail North.

Sadly, I don't think half a dozen football matches makes a business case for the Horbury/Crigglestone curve!

Mention on DATM of another HTFC Footex, this time for after the Man City game on Wednesday. Not from someone I know to be an authority though, does anyone have any details?

FURTHER EDIT: TPE have apparently tweeted that if the game goes to extra time and penalties, this extra service will be held back. Guess they can do that as with it being a one-off it won't count in their punctuality stats?
