We're not going to see masses of new services in the GMTTW (Greater Manchester Travel to Work, Bigger than GMPTE) area until someone picks up their *coughs* and does something about inferstructure and service provision, the routes are electrified thats all very nice, but theres still nowhere to terminate services from Wigan & Bolton short of blocking bays at Victoria, using the bay at Oxford Road or the Goods Loop siding at Piccadilly...

Was a slow introduction which made sense considering time frame of stock availability and training (what only 4 or so units required in first year?) The other notable thing was the focus on Liverpool as centre for conversion from DMU to EMU but I guess it makes sense if Allerton is their home.

They have previously said some trains would be stabled overnight at Blackpool Station.
