I understand why there is spam threads and spam in general all over the internet, but why are they in Russian?

Sometimes I see a random thread title in Russian on this forum and there is one right now in the 'UK Railways Discussion' area (which will probably be taken down by the time some of you see this). I decided to copy and paste some of it on google translate to see what it's all about and here is the one I found today when translated from Russian to English:

"Our company is engaged in over 10 years of selling glass products in the city of Minsk. Here are the main types of products that we can offer you:

1) Glass doors are swing doors, sliding doors and entrance panels. Glass doors transform and visually expand the room. The original appearance and visual lightness of glass doors will fit any interior."

They are just spammers and will post whatever junk they can. Best bet is to report the thread using the appropriate button on the thread and let the staff deal with it (which they are generally very quick to do!)

I think the OP's point is why do they bother posting in Russian on an obviously English language site?

Having secured the American presidency, they're now turning their attention to the far more important objective of the Railuk Forum. I'd normally now click on an icon, but I can't find any!

The example in the OP is far more legible than most of the spam I see...

In fact, it's more legible than many of the genuine posts!

(The last part is a joke, just in case that wasn't obvious!)
