The reason for this is that they are in 32-bit, use Irfanview to convert to standard BVE colours (256?)

The HST will have this problem too probably.

Ok thanks tc I took your advice and now the Class 117 BETA works and so does the Space route spaceship, I even managed to run the 90 in BVE 4 :P . The only problem is that even though I converted the HST panel and The 87 panel the screen is still blue in BVE 4. Any ideas :?: :?:

The problem is that sometimes when reducing to 256 colours, the transparent colour will be changed a little, and this will make it not work in BVE. What you need to do is open it up in Irfanview and left click anywhere on the trasparent section. This will give the RGB value for that colour on the title bar. The best thing then is to go to Image, Palette and Edit Palette. Go through the colours until you find the one that has the same value as the transparency (you can of cource narrow it down to the ones that are similar colour to the transparancy), double click on it and it will bring up the colour editor. Change the Red, Green, Blue values to a solid colour (0,0,255 for blue 0,0,0 for black), click ok then save. This should then work.

You just left click and hold it and it will show the number on the title bar at the top. The numbers depend on the transparent colour being used, the most popular ones are blue (which is used for most train panels) and Black. For Blue the Red, Green, Blue numbers should be 0,0,255, and for Black they should be 0,0,0. You'll probably find that it is something like 2,2,252 or 2,3,2 to start with, which BVE 4 won't recognise as transparent, since the transparency in the object or panel file will be set to 0,0,255 or 0,0,0. You can also alter the transparent colour in the file to the one used in the bitmap, but some graphics cards only like solid colours (Red, Green, Blue or Black) being used for transparencies.

Well I THINK I have done it but now when I try to run a route with the HST it either crashes or freezes :?

EDIT: I doesnt freeze or crash anymore (proabably because a I restarted the pc :P ) and I ve found the same transparency colour, changed the Red Green and Blue values to 0, 0, 255 and STILL the screen is blue...
