BR Fares shows Southwold + Bus as a potential destination, but certain entries don't permit Sunday fares to be shown, so I assume the only 'through fares' available are via the On Demand Bus from Halesworth.
Research shows the use of this Bus is now limited to local journeys within Halesworth, but Mondays to Saturdays whilst there is now a Registered bus service with a very early finish (16:36 ex Halesworth) it does not appear to serve Halesworth Station.
All my attempts to generate a Fare including 'Southwold +Bus, starting from varied stations west of London, London Liverpool St., Stratford and Ipswich have so far failed! Has the cessation of the 'On Demand' bus serving Southwold led to the fare not being available?
To add to the confusion, Border Bus timetable shows journeys Mondays to Fridays at 09:20 & 12:12 from Halesworth (not serving the station) but the only return is at 11:00!
Not much use for us folk living west of London and a very early start at enhanced fares for Londoners! There are admittedly slightly later journeys from Norwich offering connections with Halesworth but overall, this attractive destination seems very badly served.
