Going to be in the bognor regis area soon. What are the trains like going to London Victoria or Brighton like please? What type of train is allocated? How busy are they after 0900 and 1900 return? Thankyou.

377s are the only option. In terms of busyness, check the Seatfinder timetables on Southern' website.

Southern only run class 377s to Bognor Regis. There are two trains an hour from Bognor Regis to London Victoria all day, picking up the stops on the Arun Valley, with connections at Barnham into trains to Brighton. The timetable changes on the services around Bognor Regis and Barnham from the start of June.

Many thanks. Do they have tables or similar layout to the class 165/166 that I usually travel on these days.

They typically have tables with 2+2 seating in the outer coaches, and a layout more like a 165/166 in the middle ones.

I used to live in Arundel its a nice scenary route up to Horsham but a bit slow and does seem to have more than its fair share of weekend engineering works. Gatwick Airport is a good interchange for a wide range of destinations. Coming down from london you normally need to be in the back 4 or 8 coaches as the Front are detached at Horsham and run fast to the coast via Chi.
