Southern Trains Conductor Assessment 2nd April

Hello

I've just got back from 2 weeks holiday to find I have been booked onto the Conductors assessment this coming Wednesday 2nd April in Croydon! (edit I put the 3rd)

The email came a few days after we jetted off, and I was unable to get online, which is a complete PAIN in the **** as I also got an email from FCC asking if I would like to be included in the Trainee Train Driver at Kings Cross recruitment as I had already passed the online assessments and telephone interview!!!

Anyone know of a direct number for FCC recruitment??? I tried a few numbers and no one seems able to help me, which is really depressing as I cannot believe I had a holiday and in that time TWO emails from two different TOCs

I really wanted to do the Trainee Driver, I filled in a web form query to FCC and told them about the situation, but I have not had an email confirmation they got the webform query, or anything else :cry:

Anyone reading this going to Southern Conductor assessment 2nd April as well?? Be nice to put faces to names and wish you good luck

What depot are you going for?

Down here in Brighton its being a busy year for our CI's. I think around 15 plus newbies is the plan.

Mind training will never be the same now taffy has gone. He was(is) a legend.

I have a friend who trained with "Taffy" apparently he was amazing, I was hoping to get him, any ideas as to why he went?

I have applied for Brighton yes, and I see the Southern website has posted another Vacancy for positions there, so I guessed they were looking for more.

I know definitely three of us went through there was another guy to do the role play when I left, and that was the four of us that got to that stage, so maybe four of us for interviews, mine is on Tuesday 8th April

One of the guys has a 2 week holiday brought and paid for in June, so I am not sure what will happen with him, really nice lad only 21, I am not sure that they would start you knowing you would have to break midway through the training for a holiday

Worried about the interview, I haven't had one for a long time, I would hate to do badly having got this far so its playing on my mind a fair bit at the moment
