Hi all,
I'm looking into a move from current role within SWR / stations to Southern. The advertised salary is circa £32k inc for Station Team leader - so supervisor grade overseeing 40+ personnel - which on the face of it is better than what SWR pay for similar grade ( as far as I know, but could be wrong).
I'm not sure what they mean by Salary £inc - what is it inclusive of? Is this salary the basic exc OT?? What are the hrly enhancements, shift allowances like with Southern....is it similar to SWR in terms of enhanced hrly rates dependent on whether its RDW, weekend, nights work etc etc etc? What is a realistic mthly take home salary?
SWR are a basket case at the moment and seem to put up way too many barriers to career advancement for actual (good) employees but on balance are Southern a better company to work for within the stations grade/dept? At the end of the day its the colleagues around you that make the job worthwhile but I wouldn't mind more money.
