Hi all!

Just looking for some advice really. I had some problems with my motorbike so had to book a train home from London to Brighton. I booked this on Sunday night but in my cheesed off state I forgot that I had left the card I used to book with at home in Brighton. Tried ringing Southern but the bloke said I had to ring back after 6am for online bookings. So I rang up the next morning to be told that because my the origin of my journey was not a Southern station they could not manually release the tickets for me and that I would have to book the tickets again with a card that I had on me and then I could apply for a full refund online.

So I did that and got there fine, but now just logged in to start the refund process and it says there will be a £10 refund fee, meaning I wouldn't get much back at all! I have looked at their website which suggests I should get a full refund (ticket booked was an Off-Peak Return):

http://www.southernrailway.com/offers/money-back-guarantee/

Shall I just assume that the form that they generated for me to print off is wrong and write a note with it pointing them to their website?

Also, does anyone have the address to post refund forms to? It says post to "FREEPOST MONEY BACK GUARANTEE" but I'm sure that can't be the whole address?

Thank you :)

If you booked the ticket via the Southern website and not yet collected the ticket, you can sent the manual refund form to:

Refunds
PO Box 3021
Bristol
BS2 2BS

Sorry but I don't have a Freepost address.

Thank you. I will have to live with the cost of a stamp :D. For anyone else with the same issue I believe it arose because I selected 'Could not collect from a self-service ticket machine' as the reason for refund rather than 'Money back guarantee'.
