Southern railway benefits?

Hi everybody,

I am new to this forum and was wondering if anybody could let me know whatSouthern railway benefits are, i.e. Sunday pay, bonuses, pension scheme etc. I've applied for a shunter position and would like some more detailed information on their benefits.

Free travel on GTR (Southern / TL / GX / GN), London Midland, Southeastern and Croydon Tramlink, plus full Privilege rate for both National Rail and the Tube (the latter on Oyster).

Sundays are just over £30 per hour and not in our contract. You can give them up if you can find cover.

And if you cant find cover you are compelled to work them as compulsory overtime!

Although when I enquired about what would happen if I didnt show up for work on a Sunday the reply was 'not much as its compulsory overtime which is illegal, but make sure you get everything right in future' with a little wink and a smile.

First class passes are issued to certain grades only (management).
