Southern Railway Assessment

Hi friends
I received an email today that my application is short-listed attending an assessment for Trainee Train Driver for All London Depots vacancy in Southern Rail.
Can you please advise me , which preparations would I need for the assessment , Any guidance/advice will be highly appreciated.
I need to pass this assessment , so please come up with your precious advice. Each and every single word from you might help me to get me my dream job.

First of all, congratulations on getting to the assessment part of the application process.

If you do a search under 'New Assessments' there is a load of information available. Also, member EdZ has written a pretty good analysis of the assessment process so worth searching his posts out too.

The tests are now designed to hone in on your natural abilities and see if these are suitable for the role. The only test you can really prepare for is the Group Bourdan so try and be consistent with no errors or omissions and then try to up the speed a little.

All the tests are really well explained at the assessment and there is a chance to practice first, so listen carefully and ask if there is anything you don't understand.

As someone who has recently been through the process the best advice I would give is to try and relax, not easy I know, but if you are relaxed the tests will seem a bit easier.

You will have been sent or will be sent everything you need to prepare you for the assessments so practice and you should be fine.

Remember that you are being watched so conduct yourself in a professional manner

Do they have many tests in a single day? What ever I am doing nowadays is not really concerned with railways , can you please guide me on which aspects of daily work or routine should I focus more prior to the assessments?
My sincere apologies if my questions sound a bit childish to you guys.
I appreciate your replies.
