I am surprised no one has yet mentioned the 442s were designated 5WESsex electrics
The 450s and 444s are 4DESiro and 5DES
And mentioned earlier as part of SR upcycling the 455 using 507 centre cars, they also used the standard EE507 traction motors (although now built by GEC) had brake gear and compressors.recovered from SUB
