Southern eastern high speed line question

hi

on the section between kings cross and Stratford international, does the train reach high speed (over 100mph, if it does at all). or the part between stratford international and ebbsfleet int. go about that speed. i think its the HS1 trains.

If you are asking about the service that the Class 395 Javelins do from London St Pancras along HS1, then yes they do 100mph = 120mph I believe through the two tunnels, before slowing down to stop at Stratford International.

The Javelin service does not run any more. The Southeastern Highspeed services can travel up to 225km/h when they get out of the tunnel.

It does appear that the 'Javelin' name has now officially stuck with the 395s, as they remain badged as such on the sides, so, unlike before the Games, I see no issue calling them that
