Southern Driver Roster Pattern

Hi,

Can anyone please advise what the current general rostering pattern is for Drivers working for Southern. I appreciate it may be different between depots and thee might be slight roster anomalies, but is is generally a week of earlies followed by a week of lates as with my current TOC?

Also, do you currently get "long weekends" and finally, is Sunday overtime or part of the working week?

Thanks in advance for any help your able to provide.

Average 35 hour week. 4 day week with rest days on:

Wed/Thurs
Fri/Sat
Mon/Tues

and repeat.

Sundays are outside the working week and are about 1 in 3. Paid at 'Time + 12%'.
There is a commitment to work them if cover can't be found.

So, looking at the old Norwood rosters - do most depots do a week of earlies followed by a week of latest then back to earlies etc...?

Yes early shift then late, then early but remember a 0001 book on is considered an early shift and a 2359 start is a late turn

Thanks again. Looking through the T&C document and the rosters, it looks like Southern have far better T&C's than my current TOC, which is always pleasing to know when your considering a move!

The bigger the depot the worse the spread of turns, Brighton and Selhurst for example have a lot more anti-social turns than say Three Bridges or Redhill

Thanks again, my current depot is about as anti-social as it gets with book ons starting at 0001 and 0330 and book off's around 0130-0230!
