Southern day save

Easy one for a change hopefully. Is the southern Day Save ticket valid from Waterloo to Eastleigh? I would be leaving Waterloo around lunchtime and hope to be back in London around 18:00. I assume it's still £14.00 with a senior railcard.

You cannot get Southern services which take you directly from London Victoria to Eastleigh, and it should be pointed out that frequent Southern services to Eastleigh will only run in emergencies or due to engineering works (as yesterday). Indeed, there are only 2 Southern passenger workings via Eastleigh each weekday outside of situations like these, and this is largely to maintain route knowledge, AFAIK.

Oops, well I did say towards! Knew it was on the Southampton Central services route but didn't realise it didn't call there most of the time!
