Southern Class 456

After Emailing southern on southern Class 456s rumor of them leaving i got this reponse,
Dear Mr Spencer

Thank you for your e-mail

I am sorry that you have yet to receive a response to your email, but after some searching, I cannot find your original email to us regarding this issue.

All I can confirm at this stage is that our Class 456 units will be gone by December 2013. I am unable to say where they will be sent to, SWT or otherwise, or the unit numbers. This is all arranged and decided by the DfT, so it may be worth contacting them at this stage. If I do retrieve this information in the meantime, I will gladly forward you what I have.

Atleast if they go to SWT they will get a nice refurb.

Compare the Southern 456s to SWTs 455s,Southerns are brilliant little things but if SWT get them 456s they'll have a brilliant refurb and a nice interior comapred to the condition there in now But I wont be too keen on the livery.

So where could they go? Would they all be withdrawn from service and stored or use elsewhere?

If they went to SWT, I'd highly doubt that they'd be given another makeover to what they've already been given.

They might conceivably be used by SWT for strengthening Kingston loop/Chessington/Hampton Court services to 10 car, although the only plans for 10 car operation in the near future (with 450/5s) are the Windsor/Reading/Hounslow loop services?

Remember if you have read the email correctly is states there not sure if they will go to swt and if they did providing there in an good state they should only see an new livery and seating and posters applied.
