Up until about five years ago the claas 313s had no door release sound. But then they added them to comply with the PSVAR disability regulations that require the door release sounds. However two completely different door release sounds were added depending on the unit.

• five single but identical beeps:
313 201
313 202
313 203
313 204
313 205
313 206
313 207
313 208
313 209
313 212
313 215
313 217
313 219
313 220

• ten alternating high low beeps:
313 210
313 211
313 213
313 214
313 216

I can not understand why 14 of the 19 units got one sound and 5 of the 19 units got another sound. I would have thought they all would have got the same sound installed.

Can anyone help me solve this mystery? Why did this happen? Did different units get refurbished by different companies or contractors which resulted in different door release sounds being added? Or is there another explanation for this?

As far is I know the two-tone sound was a later addition that was never implemented on the whole fleet.

Other way around: the two-tone sound was fitted to the earliest recipients of the PRM-TSI modifications. One unit has/had a mixture of both types, 211 or 213 I think; not sure if it still does.

Thanks for confirming.
No worries

Coincidence, but the first ones to be returned were 210 211 213 214 216 (the ones with beep boop)
