This was platform 2 at Gatwick Airport with passengers waiting for the 1313 to London Victoria earlier today. The gateline had been closed by this point, so anyone else wanting London would have to wait for the 1345.
Hopefully, both were formed of 12 carriages. I wonder if more trains could be laid on next year.
Photo taken around 1305 shiwing a full platform.

According to RTT it was a 12 coach train, with an extended 5 minute dwell at both Gatwick and East Croydon

That reminds me of years ago getting a train from Haywards Heath to London on Boxing Day. It was a Class 442 but as Gatwick Express and it was London Underground peak crowded.

Seems things haven't changed and TOCs still think people don't want to travel on Boxing Day.
