Afternoon all, my day of reckoning is fast approaching and wanting to find out from recent applicants as what to expect from the day. The paperwork says that if sucessful in the tests you will have an interview with a line manager, assuming this means the DMI? In addition in the pre application thing that was sent it says there's also a SJE as part of the assessment day. Is this the case as thought had already completed a SJE on the first online test? I had heard from others that went through the Southern process that the DMI and MMI were on a different day to assessment centre. Of course I am going to prepare in event it will all be on the one day but any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

It sounds as though it’ll be a DMI. Although DMIs and MMIs can be on the same day. It says you’ll have an interview with a driver manager if successful at the assessments, which suggests it’s just the DMI. They’d usually be specific if it was both.

If you click on your applications on the GTR website, then go to 'your applications', then click the actual link of the Job 'Trainee train driver' it will come up with the original job posting. Under that, there are two documents - Job profile document, and Supplementary Information. The latter should answer your question regarding the assessment day. Looking at it now, it seems there is an MMI/Structured interview on that day, but then in the flow diagram regarding the application process it seems that it is the other way (sorry to confuse you).

SJE- I believe you may not have to do it again, seeing as it was part of the pre-assessment.. I had something similar at another TOC, and there was no SJE on that day, despite it being in the assessment pack, as I had already done it in the online application part.

Good luck for the assessment!

Thanks. That's what confused me in the diagram would indicate DMI on the day. A friend did the process a year to two years ago and said both his interviews were on a different day. I think I guess it depends on the number that pass the assessment tests I guess. I.e if not many get through there may be time to interview, if lots pass maybe that's why they are on a different day as there would not be time to get them all in. Either way I am going to prepare for the event there will be one on the day.....if I get through
