southeastern training

Hi

Im due to start as a trainee train driver with southeastern tomorrow. i have a corporate induction first but was looking to get some info on what the training will be like. Is it mon-fri 9 till 5, how long will it be classroom based and also any tips while going through training ?

I have read a lot on this forum regarding the training but i know every TOC is different

Best advice would simply be to wait and see! What to expect in the coming months should be mentioned at the induction; if it isn't then ask! Generally your first chunk of training is likely to be fairly 'daytime-ish' hours I'd have thought, when you eventually move on to playing trains then it'll be based on the shifts of the people you'll be paired up with and following.

The inductions can drag on, and generally tend to involve a fair bit of waffle. On the plus side, it's an easy few days with (I presume) a free lunch and not much in the way of work, so relax and make the most of it!
