Thanks, I'll think about some examples just so I'm not thrown if they do decide to do interviews, but will concentrate on the exercises they've sent through.

Practice, practice and practice. Get a decent night's sleep
The Paper practice materials are good preparation, get someone to help you with the bits you need something read to you. The tests were very unforgiving however if you gave them absolute focus they are very doable

For anyone still waiting on a DMI, I was told by email that theyre not booking interviews atm as they have a healthy pool but will start booking them soon in the future.

Thanks for the heads up, did it mention MMI at all? I’m waiting on both, it’s been almost 2 years since I first applied.
Frustrating but thanks for the heads up. Ultimately I'm in no rush.

I’ve done the assessments with another company so I won’t need to do it with southeastern so just waiting for the interviews haven’t heard back

Hi, do you have any insight as to how candidates are chosen? I applied in June 24 passed my assessments last September and now awaiting interviews. 6 weeks ago I spoke to 2 people who only applied last year and one is already on the course and the other has already had their interviews. Both of them were at my chosen depot. I don’t understand how they jumped the queue so to speak.I emailed recruitment to ask if I’d been over looked or push back and all they could say was I’m still in the talent pool awaiting the next stage.
Honestly, i believe it’s a system, not as such chosen manually. It seems extremely random. I applied long ago, and was employed after 2 months, others were 2+ years. But for now, unless your metro area then recruitment has severely died down unfortunately

Do you know what depot they are currently focusing on
I applied for the Slade green depot
Not a clue, it’s just METRO depot’s have a higher turn around of drivers. Slade green get threw a fair few so have more a chance then mainline depot’s

Finally!!!! Just had a phone call to say my DMI is next weds, I’m quietly bricking it now! I’ve already got the company info and tpws in my head as well as aws and dsd and our ways of working. Anything else I need to be memorising? Also is a weeks notice normal practice?
What depot if you dont mind me asking?

Question to anyone that’s had a DMI. With the TPWS sheet were you asked questions relating to it or just asked to repeat it so to speak?

Just a memory test, doesn't need to be in order as I felt the TPWS sheet was a little back and forth, but as long as you get the key parts in there they just tick the info sheet as you relay the information.

Cheers, much appreciated. I’m about 2/3 of the way of memorising it Word for Word. Ha ha! That makes life a bit easier.
100% not word for word.
I spent a good 2 weeks on and off reading the sheet, the interviewer at my DMI said that he didn’t like to ask questions on the TPWS sheet and would prefer me to talk about TPWS so that he can be sure I understood the process.

Ok cheers, luckily I do understand now I’ve read it so many times! Its purpose, how it works and locations etc…. How much notice were you given before the interview? I was given a week.
I was informed just before the Xmas break, so 3 weeks roughly

Ah right. I thought my notice was a bit short compared to others. Hopefully, I can cram it all in! Maybe they had a cancellation.
My latest development was getting the arctic shores assessment link emailed over. Completed that so another step chalked off
DMI and MMI still to go. Fortunately I am not in a huge rush and accept that roles like this won't ever have a fast turnaround. Good luck to all of you still going through the process

All the best for next Wed, remember that you can have a notebook with you to jog your memory, I took one in with me and used it twice to refer back too.
Also think of a couple of good questions to ask the interviewer at the end.
