Yes on the 14 of February, there were loads of dates to pick from in March! I dint wanna rush and picked 20 of March but now I’m worried because if everyone does well on the first assessments they’ll fill in all the positions but you know just keep checking your emails don’t miss your chance!
I received the email on the 14th too but missed it as I didn’t check my emails on time a new batch came out yesterday with a few dates.

Yeah I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure it will be okay.

So yeah no leave for first 50 days during rules and regs, then depending on depot will depend how long your traction course is, but also no leave during traction, think this is normally around 3 weeks ish, give or take a little bit.

Most of my contact was through Harry on the phone if I had any issues with the portal thing. (which I did) I believe there is an email on what ever document you receive. You can email them also, then someone tends to give you a call depending on your issue I can only assume.
How recent are you of a driver buddy?

Phew! Successfully passed the assessments - what a long day, they do them all at once. I think I might have preferred that over doing the paper ones one day followed by the computer ones plus the MMI on a different day. It allows you to get into the zone more.

No MMI on the day thought the people running the day said they didn't have any slots until after June. Is anyone going back for an MMI in the coming months?

I'm both excited and terrified in equal measure!

Congrats :) I passed the first lot of tests in February and am still currently waiting for an MMI date - if they said no slots until June, then guess we'll be waiting a little while yet!

Thank you! Same to you!

Yeah it seems like lots of waiting is how it goes with all of these roles

I’m still awaiting my assessment dates, just wondering which ones they are doing this time round? I’ve been practicing the dot test and am achieving about 1250 with 0 errors and 3 lapsed. Just wondering if there’s a rough target to aim for? Or what other tests I can practice for? Thanks in advance

Congrats on making it through the process and getting a start date! Did you apply for Dartford? I’m just waiting for a DMI and would prefer Dartford, but also open to Slade Green - I don’t suppose you know if there are more training courses planned for after May?
Hi mate have you got start date?

Hey, you must be excited for next month!

Unfortunately not; I’m still waiting for a DMI - it’s been almost three months since passing the MMI, and fast approaching a year since I applied! I was hoping this stage would be a little bit quicker but here we are. I imagine the DMI is all too easy to fail.

Been following here since I first applied back in 2022 (originally for trainee shunter driver, then withdrew and waited for driver position, which I failed once on VSE)

Today I finally sat the VSE again and MMI and happy to say I passed!

Now I wait for the DMI I guess? My closest depot is Gillingham any ideas if they're opening up any positions. I could also get to Dartford, Faversham....Tonbridge/Ashford are also with 40mins on a good day.

Hi guys, my chosen depot is Ramsgate. Its been a year since I passed my assessments, I was somewhat hoping someone on here is based at Ramsgate & could give me an inkling on how the intake is there? Or rather, is there a particularly long wait for DMI's? I made a freind on the day of assessments & he had his DMI (different depot) three/four weeks after! Haha. I've heard it's one of the depots with the longer waiting lists. I believe the longest I've seen online someone has waited 3 year & 8 months!

Guys I spoke too soon! I've got my DMI in 5 days! Anyone think this is too soon? Or not enough time to prepare rather? Also, does anyone have have any advice on DMI's at all?

All id say is, revise that TPWS sheet (if that’s what they give you still) and learn word for word if you can, and be yourself, give genuine answers, ask plenty of questions. They want to make sure your the right fit.

Also have mine next week after waiting a long time! Learn the TPWS sheet, also they’ll ask scenario based questions. Search this forum it’s really useful.

My DMI is booked for the end of May - exciting times! Just enough time to memorise the TPWS sheet and all things Southeastern. :D

Thank you, it’s at Slade Green. How did yours go? Any indication of when you’ll hear back or start dates?
I feel positive, but no idea! I got told I could hear this week, if not by the end of next week. The course they mentioned to me was in August.

Hi I passed the assessment centre for southern in April and am awaiting a date for the dmi.

How long roughly have people waited for this then approximate time frame for dmi, medical then mmi?

I am hoping to book a holiday for August but if all stages are passed and then a course start date I don't want to jeopardise the interviews or course if successful

Southern or southeastern? As southeastern is MMI first at assesment centre, then DMI, then medical, it can be any time frame, depends on course and availability, some people wait ages
