And there's your big mistake. They had your address, they didn't need to send you any further letters and they could have just sent you a summons.
Ignoring a criminal case is never the answer and is terrible advice. You will almost certainly have been prosecuted in your absence.
It'll probably catch up with you sooner or later, even if you are in Norway. Courts don't tend to like it when court fines go unpaid.
