Southeastern class 377/5 unit at Brighton Lovers Walk depot.

Does anyone know what a Southeastern class 377/5 unit was doing at Brighton Lovers Walk depot? I know they are subleased from Southern to Southeastern and maintained at Selhurst depot. I have seen them at Selhurst depot many times. But this is the first i have ever heard of one going to Brighton Lovers Walk depot. The only thing i can think of is that it needed some work done that Selhurst was unsble to do. But as far as i am aware Selhurst has all of the same facilities as Brighton Lovers Walk so i am a bit confused. Is anyone able to clarify the reason it went there?

Many reasons, might simply just be that they had exam capacity and there was a unit that needed attention, could be available capacity on the wheel drop and it needs a new set of bearings etc.

Could have taken a faulty/ dead unit to Lovers walk. It was seen as an 8 car going south and a 4 car coming back.

A few /5's sit spare on selhurst when not on exams.
