There is more than one replacement.
I am guessing Southeastern are using Atos Envoy - which is the closest to the old ones as it is made by the same people who have the contract to maintain the old Avantix machines. I guess this, as London Midland will be getting it "soon" - and we have been shown an example Southeastern "electronic penalty fare" where the recipient signs a receipt that prints from the Avantix with electronically checked details, rather than phoning up somebody else to verify details as happens these days.
There is also Star Mobile made by Fujitsu, which is essentially the same kit but a different software package. Star Mobile prints on thermal roll (receipt paper, essentially) or proper tickets based on what the operator has chosen (i.e. how much they want to spend?

)
Virgin have their own, called Doris I believe? This one is well known for being on thermal roll as passengers will get a ToD reference code from the Train Manager to pick up, separately, tickets which include onward travel on other operators/the Underground etc... sounds painful I know...
