Southampton to Cardiff during ASLEF strikes December

Looking to travel from Southampton to Cardiff on the 7th December which appears to be the date where both GWR and Cross Country have strikes.
Any idea if any services will run at all on this date? Or is it better to travel a day before or after this date? If I can't get a train on the 7th what would be my next best bet?

GWR will probably run a reduced service like they have done before and Cross Country have already said they won't be running any trains when their drivers are on strike. But keep a eye on the different TOC's website for the latest information.
