Southampton Eastern Dock's New Track !!!!

Have noticed in the last couple of weeks that the entrance in to the Eastern Docks opposite the terminus they look like they could be doubling the tracks, the new track they have laid has a buffer near the entrance gates & whether at some point they may go be on this point & across the road, seems strange for a siding though. Any idea's ?
