Signal problems at southall - ealing to oxford has taken me since half 5!! Still at didcot waiting for the 19:25 service which is due at 19:59! Ouch. Anyone else hit by this, and know if its genuine or just an excuse? Also any chance of a refund!? :p

Yes, completely genuine. National Rail reporting delays of up to 45 minutes due to signalling problems at Southall, expected to continue until at least 21:00. Heathorw Connect and Greenford branch currently suspended.

Donu understand why the Greenford branch is suspended, unless its so the delayed trains arent held up by the Greenford trains, or they need to use the "slow" platforms at PAD.

The Greenford line seems to be suspended everytime there is an incident anywhere on the FGW network no matter how far away it is, always the first to go. Hope the problems are sorted out for when I travel home though as I work in Southall!

Cancelling greenfords frees up 2 units and 2 drivers. Also Oxford drivers sign greenfords so they might be delayed on the incoming

Its a points failure. Points are clipped. But.something said about detection equipment not recognising trains as well, happened around 1800 told this by FGW Staff.
