Southall 1997 video

There are videos all over YouTube which claim to be real cctv footage of the Southall rail crash in 1997. I won't post a link due to the distressing nature. All I want to know is, can anyone confirm if this video is real or is it CGI from a documentary or something?

It's impossible to tell from the YouTube comments (too many immature comments, ie "it's fake!", "your mum's fake!") and I can't find any previous thread about it on here.

The first result on YouTube for "southall cctv footage" definitely looks like CGI, particularly the trains.

If its the one where the coach goes bananas round the OHL stanchion and there is a bloke running in the foreground then it is CGI and was done for one of the documentaries about the crash (seconds from disaster?).

If I recall correctly, the seconds from disaster was on Ladbroke Grove, just over 2 years later.
To be honest, the footage looks like railworks and the way the aerial shots are structured it looks like CGI.

It is CGI used for one of the documentary programmes, can't remember which one it was but I remember watching it.

Yes, Ladbroke Grove was produced for one of the more recent series of Seconds from Disaster. This was the first episode in a number of years, and saw the return of the original, 'more dramatic' narrator.

I recall one of the documentaries about Potter's Bar had similar "CCTV" footage - does anyone know if that was also simulated?
