South Eastern New Year's Day

I'm looking to travel on new year's Day and I notice on NRE that aside from some services between Ashford and Charing Cross that are justified due to engineering works, there don't seem to be any other services during as running in Kent at all.

Are they planning a normalish service on new year's Day ? I'm particularly interested in services from Ashford and Canterbury.

I'd wait until tomorrow, that's when the timetable for the w/c 1 Jan should be confirmed.

Looks like there’s a engineering works affecting the northern side of Ashford Int’l (seemingly all lines).

Therefore it’s a bus Maidstone - Ashford: https://www.southeasternrailway.co....k?date=2022-01-01#engineering-departure-board

Should be a service Ashford - Ramsgate though.

Cancelling of the permanent timetable for the bank holiday and input of the amended timetable are two different actions. Looks as if the first has been done before the second.

Should be a service Ashford - Ramsgate though.

...and Ashford-Victoria via Tonbridge and Orpington, but no service Otford-Ashford.

BTW 1 Jan is a Saturday, 3 Jan is a public holiday (and 4 Jan in Scotland).

Yeah the cancellations for New Year were published first, and the amended timetable will be published second.

There also appears to be a major closure in the Lewisham area, that will see various service alterations depending on the day. On New Year's day SEML mainline services via Paddock Wood are going to/from Victoria, not Charing X, it seems.

Yeah there is an all week blockade at Grove Park/Hither Green.
