Hi. I've loaded an off-peak day travel card onto my freshly minted southeastern Key smart card for use today. However only several hours after purchase did I realize that one of my journeys involves a bus. Presumably I won't encounter any difficulty tapping the card on the reader upon boarding? Or have I bandax to myself into paying a bus fare as well? Thanks

Any travelcard product on an ITSO smartcard will be accepted on any bus.

It's not the key but I load travelcards onto an EMR smart card and it always works on London buses

Thank you all ever so much for your helpful replies. Haven't had a minute to respond until now as yesterday was hectic and long but all worked as it should have done from a travel card point of view anyway

Hopefully none of these three TOCs sell London Travelcards (or 'Maltese cross-London' tickets) on smartcards.
Here’s a screenshot of the TransPennine Express (TPE) app doing just that!

Screenshots taken on TPE app shows a monthly travelcard season from Kempton Park to London Zones 1-6 starting from tomorrow (07/04/2023) fulfillable to a smartcard on hand via NFC or ordering a smartcard from TPE to load at a rail station. The latter option notes that it may take up to 5 working days for the smartcard to be delivered.
Bit off-topic, but surely if it takes up to 5 working days for a TPE smartcard to be delivered after ordering one, what’s the point of ordering one with a ticket that starts tomorrow?
