South East Flexible Ticketing Project

There seems to be very little information available about the area that it will cover , or what products will be offered.

The most I have found is at House of Commons - Uncorrected Evidence where it is stated that:

"the so-called south-east flexible ticketing programme in particular, which will extend to quite a wide area of the south-east-from north of Milton Keynes in the north to Brighton in the south and from Newbury in the west to the Kent coast-will enable the introduction of flexible season products"

It is mentioned in the GW ITT. Page 107 has a couple of paragraphs, eg:

Through the South East Flexible Ticketing Programme (SEFT), the Department is introducing smart and integrated ticketing technology across this region. Bidders shall assume that smart ticketing equipment will be funded on core London facing commuter routes – principally Didcot Parkway-Reading, Newbury-Reading and Reading-London. Bidders should assume that SEFT will deliver equipment and systems for the provision of an ITSO based smart ticketing scheme by January 2014 in accordance with meeting the definition of Acceptance in the model SEFT Delivery Agreement. This definition can be found in Appendix 6 and the SEFT Delivery Agreement can be found in the data site..

So it is basically just ITSO, as required in most other recent franchises. The ITT goes on to mention all sorts of smart ticketing stuff after this...
