Just thought I would make a compilation of songs that are about trains or have trains in them. The Thomas the Tank Engine and Chuggington theme tunes are excluded.

Anyone know any decent songs then? Lets have no pop crap though.

We have a nice mix of genres going on, a bit of punk, then some classic rock, Country and Western, Blues and then early techno, as you can see its all proper music, none of that Lady Gaga tripe.

If we have any fans here of the mighty Blyth Power, Joseph once introduced a cracking song at a gig - as a tribute to the class 50. The song contains all 50 names (at least, when 50007 was still 'properly' named "Hercules").

Remember the enormous fuss when 7 was renamed and reliveried? From today's perspective it seems amazing that a non-standard livery could arouse such anger, but there were pages and pages of correspondence about it in Rail Enthusiast and it was the talk of every platform end!
