Somewhere outside Leeds station

Apologies if the answer to this is elsewhere ... but on the approach into Leeds from the Midland line there is a triangular area down to the left closed off by a gate.
There appears to be a fenced off section (which almost looks like a garden) within this area with a plaque or something in the middle.
I am curious to know what it is. Can anyone clarify?

It's a memorial garden for the track worker that was killed a few years back where the Skipton lines split from the lines towards Doncaster
