Hi all,
hate to bragg and all that, but I went for lunch with Michael Palin today (SERIOUSLY, I'M NOT JOKING!) at the Rules Restaurant, Maiden Lane, covent Garden, London. He is a really nice guy and easy to talk to. We sat and talked about current affairs, trains, and other stuff (including a bottle of wine on the menu which costs £420 (also not a joke!))
He walked us back to Covent Garden tube as well, felt odd with people giving 2nd looks going to their friends/partners "is that Michael Palin?" in the middle of Covent Garden market!!
If you ever get the chance to meet him, never turn it down!

my stepmum won a competition and could take one person, and my dad couldn't get time off work
