I will be going down to london on October 1st, and I would like to know some of the best spotting locations for 465s and 455s, preferably in central london although a bit further south is alright.

The obvious locations are Clapham Junction and London Bridge.

The Southeastern lines from Victoria pass over Queenstown Road Battersea and Southeastern stock has carriage numbers above the windows as well as in the normal locations but don't know how easy it is to remain on the platform there.

Actually about 150m away. - you'd need binoculars :(

Check for engineering works first! An hour at Wandsworth Road would normally get all 4 Orpington workings, but as all Overgrounds are RRBs, you probably couldn't get onto the platform. Perhaps someonecan say if Larkhall Rise overbridge is any good?
