Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone was able to tell me what this sign means.

Yellow background, black chevrons and two flashing white lights.

It can be seen whilst walking accros a level crossing.

Thanks!

It's an Emergency Speed Restriction (ESR) Advance Warning Indicator (AWI), commonly referred to as Daleks due to the resemblance to the famous Doctor Who enemy.

Both lights flash together, I believe if they start alternating it is an indication that the battery is low.

I’ve only ever seen them go really dim until they can hardly be seen. Never seen them flash alternately.
