I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Saturday's trip, 13 Sept from Waterloo to Salisbury with Braunton, excellent Running along the Main line outbound all the way to Salisbury and on parts on the return journey too.

(There were some delays around Romesey & Haslemere, coming back, perhaps due to awaiting service trains ahead) The timings were very civilized too. If only all rail tour trips could be like that.

Hopefully they can repeat that trip again next year, maybe going on the direct fast main line in both directions?

I was also on this trip and agree that it was a very good run.

A similar 95 minute fast direct run on the return journey would not give enough time for dinner to be served.
